Callum Hudson-Odoi has spoken out about Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel's on-field behaviour.
The German leader is a lively figure, full of energy, yelling, and theatrics, as if he is living the game with his playing XI. Tuchel is also noted for being blunt with his players, nearly to the point of being rude.
Hudson-Odoi told The Mail about the manager's talents and touchline behaviour: "The manager is a great guy, and he's a tactical genius." He knows how to bring the best out of each player, even if you don't want to hear it or if he's shouting in a way that makes you wonder, "Why are you shouting so much on the touchline?"
Hudson-Odoi, on the other hand, quickly emphasised that Tuchel does everything for the team's good.
"At the same time, he cares about the team's success. It's often difficult to understand, and you wonder aloud, "Could you perhaps quiet down a little bit and stop shouting so much?"
Chelsea winger said:
‘’He's trying to get a message over to you that says, "Listen, I need this from you if I'm going to win the game." I'm not only going to yell at you; I'm going to yell at everyone to ensure that we get the most out of everyone and win the game. Alternatively, get 100% from everyone."
Hudson-Odoi has previously worked for Chelsea under Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri, Frank Lampard, and Thomas Tuchel. He added joked that it would be wonderful if Tuchel wasn't always active on the field, saying:
‘’It's clearly a different type of management than the others I've worked for. He's always on his toes, ready to make a gesture or say something. He's just pretty outspoken. On the field, it's great, but sometimes it's like, 'Could you please calm down a little bit and not shout as much?' But that's fine."
